Job Summary
Review, negotiate, and draft commercial agreements, software licensing terms, and NDAs to support EMEA sales, professional services, and alliances teams. Drive fast turnaround times on contracts while collaborating with sales and security teams to ensure alignment with internal policies, including GDPR and the EU AI Act. Manage internal employment law matters in partnership with HR and identify legal process improvements to support rapid deal closure. This role requires relocating to Munich, Germany, with a German law degree and first state exam. Candidates must possess native German and fluent English skills, three years of post-qualification experience, and familiarity with technology trends like AI and digital assets. Authorization to work in Germany is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified German Law Degree
- Must pass at least the first state exam (Erstes Juristisches Staatsexamen) in Germany
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house
- Excellent command of written and spoken German (native speaker)
- English (fluent)
- Solid knowledge of German employment law
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and demanding industry
- Must be authorized to work in Germany
- Resume MUST be submitted in English
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with and interested in technology (metaverse, AI, digital assets)
- Overseas legal education and/or work experience
- Experience as in-house counsel of a global technology company
- Basic Knowledge of German tenancy law
- Additional language skills in French and/or Spanish
- Highly adaptable and service-oriented attitude
- Ability to handle pressure and provide thoughtful recommendations
