Job Summary
In-Home Special Education Tutor needed to deliver highly personalized 1:1 tutoring in students' homes. Responsibilities include targeted instruction aligned to IEP goals, curriculum adaptation for individual learning profiles, progress tracking, and collaborative communication with parents/teachers. Role emphasizes socio-emotional support, behavioral guidance, and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment. Flexible, part-time schedule with hours before/after school or weekends; compensation $25-$35/hour with premium rates based on experience and credentials. Candidates should be able to commute to client homes in the local area and possess or be pursuing relevant educational credentials; fluency in Spanish is a strong plus. Must pass a comprehensive background check and be committed to helping students with special needs achieve academic milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university, or holds an AA, BA, or higher degree (Education, Special Education, or Psychology a plus)
- Proven tutoring or teaching experience (especially with students with special needs, learning differences, and behavioral accommodations)
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
