Job Summary
Conduct personal care and hygiene assistance for elderly clients while managing light housekeeping, preparing meals, and supporting mobility and ambulation. Prompt clients to take prescribed medications, encourage fitness goals, and assist with shopping and grocery tasks. Act quickly during medical emergencies by reporting health changes and adhering to state and office-specific safety standards. Maintain reliable transportation for client visits across Sioux Falls, Brandon, and surrounding areas, including snow days. Full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts available with starting pay of $17.00/hour and benefits including dental, vision, and health insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent time-management skills
- Reliable transportation to client visits
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
- A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship
- Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check
