Job Summary
Conduct personal care and hygiene assistance, support mobility and ambulation, and prepare meals with clients. Manage light housekeeping duties, administer prescribed medications, and accompany clients on shopping trips or appointments. Monitor health changes, respond to emergencies, and provide supportive companionship while adhering to custom care plans. Maintain reliable transportation for client visits and ensure compliance with state health and safety standards. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and First Aid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Car Insurance
- Reliable Personal Vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response
- Excellent time-management skills
- Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
- Physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
- Ability to perform housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
- Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer's care
