Job Summary
Conduct personal care, hygiene, and mobility assistance for clients while planning meals, managing light housekeeping, and administering prescribed medications. Report health changes or emergencies immediately and accompany clients on shopping trips or medical appointments. Maintain reliable transportation to client homes and adhere to state health and safety standards, including First Aid training. This role offers flexible full-time or part-time schedules with dental, vision, and health insurance, plus PPE and holiday pay. Visiting Angels provides advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer's care to broaden caregiver skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Car Insurance
- Reliable Personal Vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response
- Excellent time-management skills
- Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
- Physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
- Ability to perform housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
- Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
