Job Summary
In-Home Patient Care Assistant (PCA) providing in-home care to clients across Plano, Richardson, Dallas, Addison, Garland, Wylie, Rockwall, Mesquite, and Forney. Responsibilities include assisting with light exercise and mobility, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, reporting health changes, offering companionship, responding to emergencies, accompanying clients on shopping trips, reminding about medications, and supporting client mobility during appointments. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer's care. Requires HS diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, minimum 2 years caregiving, strong communication and time-management skills, First Aid training, and ability to comply with health and safety standards. Flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts including 8, 10, 12-hour options with PRN availability; benefits include PTO, health-related insurances, PPE, holiday pay, direct deposit, weekly pay, continuing education, and sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
- Minimum 2 Years Professional Caregiving Experience
- Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
- Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
- Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
- Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
- Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
- Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
- Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
