Job Summary
Visiting Angels is hiring an In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA to provide in-home care to clients in the Olathe, KS area. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care and hygiene, light physical activity, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, reporting health changes, providing companionship, responding to emergencies, accompanying clients on shopping trips, reminding about medications, and aiding mobility at home and during appointments. Opportunities for advanced dementia/Alzheimer’s care training. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with insurance and a reliable vehicle, strong communication skills, First Aid/emergency response training, time-management, reliable transportation, and willingness to perform housekeeping and cooking tasks while complying with health and safety standards. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed)
- Excellent time-management skills
- Reliable transportation to client homes
- Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties adhering to dietary constraints
- Willing to comply with state and office health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
- Compassion, understanding, and desire to brighten each client’s day
