Job Summary
Conduct daily in-home patient care for clients across Anniston and surrounding areas, assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, and light housekeeping. Prepare meals, accompany clients on shopping trips, and administer prescribed medications while monitoring health changes and responding immediately to emergencies. Provide supportive companionship and ensure clients adhere to custom care plans and dietary constraints. Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to transport clients to appointments or errands. This role offers flexible full-time or PRN schedules with opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Car Insurance
- Reliable Personal Vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response
- Excellent time-management skills
- Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
- Physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
- Ability to perform housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
- Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
