Job Summary
Conduct personal care, hygiene assistance, and meal preparation for clients while managing light housekeeping duties. Assist with mobility, ambulation, and prescribed exercise, then accompany clients on shopping trips or errands. Monitor health changes, report incidents, and ensure clients take medications appropriately. Respond quickly to emergencies and provide supportive companionship. Maintain reliable transportation to client homes and adhere to strict health and safety standards. Complete required first aid training and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Car Insurance
- Reliable Personal Vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response
- Excellent time-management skills
- Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
- Physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
- Ability to perform housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
- Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
