Job Summary
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation. Provide medication assistance, laundry, housekeeping, shopping, and transportation while reporting daily activities through the ClearCare management system. Maintain client safety, document behavioral changes, and report suspected abuse immediately. Practice safety protocols, maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations, and attend required in-services. Maintain a fit-for-duty physical condition, hold a valid driver's license, and possess CPR and First Aid certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written assignments
- Proficiency with Homecare Company Management System--ClearCare
- Maintain an established work schedule
- Effective interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy
- Effective organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials
- Maintain 'Fit for Duty' physical condition
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- 18 Years of Age or Older
- Reliable Transportation
- Must be able to lift or push up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- CNA License or alternate experience as a caregiver
- CPR & First Aid Certifications
- Prior experience assisting with ADLs or caring for elderly, disabled and other vulnerable clients
