Job Summary
Assist with dialysis treatment setup, including NxStage machines, and maintain a clean, safe environment. Offer companionship and emotional reassurance while helping the patient stay on schedule. Provide light ADL support as needed and monitor safety to report concerns to the coordinating nurse. Maintain simple documentation and shift notes. This consistent, one-on-one support allows you to build rapport and become a trusted part of the patient's weekly care routine during their transition from clinic to home. Training is provided on patient-specific processes and home setup.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of dialysis experience (home or clinic)
- Open to in-home dialysis support and willing to complete the provided training
- Steady, supportive, and patient — especially during an adjustment period
- Strong communicator who works well with a clinical team
- Must pass a Herewith background check
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with home dialysis systems preferred (NxStage experience is a plus)
