Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides skilled nursing care in patients' homes under RN supervision, following physicians' orders and care plans. Responsibilities include delivering and documenting nursing actions, updating care plans, observing patient condition, coordinating with the supervising nurse, and educating patients and families. Role supports pediatric home health with acuity including feeding tube and med administration; flexible scheduling (days/nights), full-time/part-time/PRN options, and travel to patient homes. Location: New Braunfels, TX; 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM shifts; weekends and variable schedules available. Must maintain active state LPN/LVN license, CPR certification, and complete state-specific requirements as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in state of practice
- CPR certification
- Clinical nursing experience (pediatrics) preferred
- Home health experience helpful
- Ability to travel to patients' homes
- Strong communication and documentation skills
