Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
• •Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
• •Current CPR certification (with hands-on component)
• •TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
• •Must have reliable transportation
• •Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
• •Must be able to travel
• •Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• •Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
• •Must be able to sit and climb stairs
• •Must have visual and hearing acuity
• •Must have strong sense of smell and touch
• •Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport
• •Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
• •Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases
• •Must comply with all health-related requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including required vaccinations and testing, subject to exemptions for medical or religious reasons
• •Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries
• •Must be able to comply with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act
• •Must be able to provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient according to OSHA standards
• •Must be able to participate in educational programs, continued education units, internal learning management skills and skill evaluations
• •Must be able to recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent risk or reduce risk
• •Must be able to accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability
• •Must be able to continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs and report changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician
• •Must be able to document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner
• •Must be able to participate, implement and update the nursing care plan
• •Must be able to take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes
• •Must be able to deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
• •Must be able to educate the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies
• •Must be able to maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession
• •Must be able to effectively problem-solve and resolve conflict
• •Must be able to demonstrate good organization and communication skills

• •Must be able to obtain Continuing Education as required by state
• •Must be able to work in South Carolina with One (1) year of pediatrics experience
• •Must be able to work in California with One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license
• •Must be able to work in Louisiana with One (1) year of experience required working as a licensed nurse
• •Must be able to work in a home health setting
• •Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
• •Must be able to work in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
• •Must be able to comply with all health-related requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including required vaccinations and testing, subject to exemptions for medical or religious reasons

Desired Qualifications

• •Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
• •Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
• •Home health experience
• •Aveanna can assist in obtaining CPR certification after hire, if necessary
