Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) providing skilled in-home nursing care to a patient with feeding tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator needs. Schedule includes weekend nights (Friday–Sunday, 6pm–6am) with flexibility for full-time, part-time, or PRN availability. Duties include delivering and coordinating quality patient care under RN supervision, updating and implementing the nursing care plan, documenting assessments and actions, recognizing changes in patient needs, ensuring infection control per OSHA standards, educating patient and family, and maintaining nursing competencies. Requires active nursing license in the practice state, CPR certification, TB test, and ability to travel to patient homes; state-specific requirements may apply. 2-6? months of experience preferred; home-health experience encouraged; additional state requirements noted per location (e.g., pediatrics experience in SC, etc.). The role emphasizes compassionate, compliant home healthcare delivery and collaboration with the broader Aveanna clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (RN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
- Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
- Current CPR certification (with hands-on component)
- TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
