Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) needed to provide in-home skilled nursing care for a pediatric patient with trach/vent, under RN supervision. Flexible scheduling with Friday–Sunday 8am–8pm shifts; options for full-time, part-time, or PRN. Duties include delivering and coordinating quality patient care, documenting activities and nursing actions, updating the care plan, recognizing changes in patient needs, maintaining infection control, and educating patient and family on disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies. Requirements include an active LPN/LVN license, CPR certification, ability to travel to patient’s home, and strong clinical documentation skills. Additional state-specific requirements and preferences vary by location.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the practicing state
- Current CPR certification
- TB skin test current within last 12 months
- Six months hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
- Compact licenses must be transferred within 90 days (where applicable)
