Job Summary

Deliver skilled nursing care to adult patients in their homes, administering medications, managing feeding tubes, tracheostomies, and ventilators under RN supervision. Continuously assess patient conditions, document all activities and nursing actions in electronic records, and update care plans based on evolving needs. Implement infection control measures, educate families on disease processes and self-care, and respond to changes in patient status requiring intervention. Maintain personal accountability by complying with state regulations, the Nurse Practice Act, and Aveanna policies while utilizing the tablet provided for each patient.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
  • Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
  • Current CPR certification (with hands-on component)
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
  • One (1) year of pediatrics experience (South Carolina specific)
  • One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license (California specific)
  • One (1) year of experience required working as a licensed nurse (Louisiana specific)
  • Continuing Education as required by state
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
  • Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases
  • Must comply with all health-related requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including required vaccinations and testing, subject to exemptions for medical or religious reasons
