Job Summary
Provide skilled nursing care in patients' homes, administering medications and managing feeding tubes for pediatric clients. Continuously assess patient conditions, document all activities and nursing actions, and update care plans based on physician orders. Recognize changes in patient needs requiring intervention and educate families on disease processes and self-care techniques. Maintain infection control measures and comply with state regulations and the Nurse Practice Act. Requires an active RN license, CPR certification, and reliable transportation. Flexible weekend and weekday shifts available with support from local clinicians.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification (with hands-on component)
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
- Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
- Must be able to travel
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must have visual and hearing acuity
- Must have strong sense of smell and touch
- Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
- Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport
- Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
- Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases
- Must be able to sit and climb stairs
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be able to work flexible weekdays (8AM to 8PM)
- Must comply with all health-related requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including required vaccinations and testing, subject to exemptions for medical or religious reasons
Desired Qualifications
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
- Home health experience
- Attention to detail

- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Good organization and communication skills
- Must be able to climb stairs
