Job Summary

Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders for high-acuity patients requiring feeding tube, med administration, tracheostomy, and ventilator support. Continuously observe and assess patient conditions, document all activities and nursing actions in real-time via tablet, and develop or update individual nursing care plans. Implement appropriate interventions based on assessments to prevent or reduce risks while educating patients and families on disease processes and self-care techniques. Maintain infection control measures per OSHA standards and ensure personal accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.

Required Qualifications

Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (RN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
Current CPR certification (with hands-on component)
TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
Must be able to travel
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must have visual and hearing acuity
Must have strong sense of smell and touch
Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport
Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases
Must comply with all health-related requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including required vaccinations and testing
Must be able to sit and climb stairs
Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, and twist
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
Must be able to walk for prolonged periods
Must have the ability to wear a mask
Must be able to wear gloves
Must be able to wear a gown
