Job Summary
Provide and document skilled home health nursing for pediatric patients in the patient’s home, following physician orders and care plans. Develop, implement, and update the nursing care plan; continuously observe and assess patient condition; document all nursing activities and communications; educate patient and family on disease processes, self-care, and prevention; maintain infection control per OSHA standards; collaborate with supervisors and physicians to ensure quality outcomes; demonstrate proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing policies. Must hold an active RN license, CPR certification, and meet state-specific requirements; travel to patient homes is required; schedule includes days, nights, and weekends; opportunities for skill advancement and career growth are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- TB skin test current within last 12 months
- Six months hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
- Compact licenses must be transferred to state of residence within 90 days
- State-specific requirements (e.g., pediatrics experience may be required by state)
