Job Summary
Perform essential repairs on casegoods and upholstery, including fixing crushed corners, burn-in dents, and gouges while stripping, sanding, and refishing tops. Inspect, evaluate, and repair merchandise, operating manual and mechanical equipment safely to rebuild frames and repair leather. Maintain a safe, clean work environment and practice secure material handling for items weighing 50 to 100+ lbs. Complete all documentation with digital photos, report errors to a supervisor, and maintain accurate inventory of customer parts.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills
- Basic reading and comprehension skills
- Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner
- Excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers using telephone
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing approximately 50 - 100+ lbs. repetitively
- Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen
- Ability to use hands to type information into computer
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of GERS system preferred
