Job Summary
Provide personal care support including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting, and light housekeeping. Assist clients with feeding, medication reminders, and appointment transportation while monitoring and reporting health changes. Ensure client safety during transport using a personal vehicle and maintain a clean, safe environment. Document all services according to regulatory standards and complete required in-service training. Work part-time, PRN weekends with various weekday days, earning $10.50/hr plus mileage. Must hold a valid driver's license, insurance, and pass background screenings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid ID
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to client homes
- Current and valid state driver's license
- Current and valid vehicle registration
- Current and valid vehicle insurance
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings: background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check
- Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments
- Ability to work independently in home settings
- Willingness to complete background screening and all onboarding requirements
- A kind heart and a positive attitude, with compassion, patience, and professionalism with vulnerable populations
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition clients weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without assistive equipment (gait belt, Hoyer lift)
- Ability to work in a private home environment, including navigating varying layouts, tight spaces, and differing temperatures
Desired Qualifications
- Active Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Previous DSW (Direct Service Worker) Experience
- Previous Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Experience
