Job Summary
Provide hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to participants in their homes, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and physical lifting. Assist with instrumental ADLs such as laundry, light housekeeping, shopping, and meal preparation. Measure and document vital signs, act as a medical escort for appointments, and carry out home exercise programs as indicated in the care plan. Visit 2-5 patients per day across shorter shifts that total an 8-hour workday, with travel time and mileage reimbursed. Requires current BLS/First Aid certification, CNA or HHA certification preferred, and registration with the Home Care Registry prior to start.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/First Aid Certification
- Must be registered with Home Care Registry prior to start date
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter
- COVID-19 Vaccination Policy (proof of vaccination or vaccine declination form required prior to employment)
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
- Bilingual
- CPR and First Aid certification upon hire
