Job Summary
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and daily routines while supporting mobility, transfers, and safety in the home. Provide specialized care for individuals with spinal cord injuries, TBI, dementia, Alzheimer's, and age-related conditions, including meal preparation and light housekeeping. Offer companionship and emotional support, document care updates using smartphone tools, and communicate with the care team to ensure client safety and dignity. This role offers part-time hours at $16.00+ per hour based on certifications and experience, with flexible scheduling and a 25-30 mile radius in Ann Arbor, MI. Kennedy Care provides paid orientation, training, PTO, and holiday pay for dedicated caregivers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within a 25-30 mile radius
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. independently
- Comfortable using smartphones/mobile apps
- Dependable, compassionate caregiver mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in home care, caregiving, or healthcare
- CNA certification or similar caregiver background
- Experience supporting veterans
- Experience with dementia, TBI, or spinal cord injury
- Valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance (may be required depending on client needs)
