Job Summary
Direct Care Worker (DCW) provides non-medical in-home support to clients in Allegheny County, focusing on ADLs, safety, companionship, and independent living. The PRN position offers flexible, as-needed hours in the Fox Chapel and Gibsonia area, including evenings and weekends. Responsibilities include personal care tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, hair care), safe transfers and mobility support, skin integrity, meal support and nutrition documentation, companionship, accompanying clients to appointments, and light household duties (laundry, cleaning, errands). Must have at least 1 year of personal care experience, be 18+, have English proficiency, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and a smartphone for Connecteam tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in personal care
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Physically able to perform job duties, including lifting, transfers, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Dependable, professional, and consumer-focused
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid Driver's License and Reliable transportation to and from assignments
- Smartphone required for Connecteam work-related duties
