Job Summary
Maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety while providing hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and eating. Prepare meals, handle laundry, and manage shopping tasks. Assist clients with self-administration of medications and monitor vital signs such as blood pressure and blood sugar when delegated by a registered nurse. Report any incidents, problems, or changes in client behavior immediately to the Service Supervisor and follow the assigned plan of care. This role requires full availability for long 12-15 hour weekend shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and some Fridays. Candidates must have 5+ years of home care experience, a valid NC Driver's License with auto insurance, and a personal means of transportation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience working in a home care setting
- Must have valid NC Driver's License and Auto Insurance
- Personal means of transportation
- Must have full availibilty for long 12-15 hour weekend shifts (BOTH Saturdays & Sundays and some Fridays)
- Must be very dependable
- Must understand and respect client ethics and confidentiality of care
- Good interpersonal skills
