Job Summary
Assist in Merger and Acquisition Tax engagements at PwC by researching industries to identify potential target companies, supporting due diligence, preparing due diligence reports and pitch decks for prospective clients, and coordinating implementation of schemes and petition filings. Aid managers with valuation analyses and financial forecasts related to M&A transactions; present recommendations to managers. Advise clients on tax-efficient restructurings and maintain strong client relationships. Supervise Analysts and Senior Analysts, contribute to internal L&E sessions, and develop understanding of integration activities, risk assessment, and mitigation across people, processes, and technology for client engagements. Requires Chartered Accountant qualification with 0-3 years of direct tax experience or relevant commerce background, strong communication, and knowledge of M&A laws (Income Tax Act, Companies Act, FEMA). Travel as required; opportunities to grow skills within M&A tax practice.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years of relevant experience or Commerce or relevant field graduate with at least five years of relevant experience
- Article ship in Big 4 or prior experience in M&A tax will be an added advantage
- Requisite knowledge of all M&A laws which includes: Income Tax Act, Companies Act, Knowledge of FEMA and related issues
- Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
