Job Summary
Import Sales Representative focused on growing market share in Fresno/California Central Valley for a vertically integrated grower/packer/importer. Role emphasizes developing long-term customer relationships through sales and daily account management, selling on FOB and delivered pricing, leveraging existing retail contacts in grapes, citrus and/or blueberry categories, and navigating the fresh produce supply base. Experience with season-long bid pricing and FOB/market sales is required, with occasional travel to visit customers and trade shows. Based in the greater Fresno area with a strong preference for in-office work, but a hybrid arrangement will be considered for accomplished sales talent. College degree in related fields is desired. Required Qualifications
- Previous fruit sales experience required in grapes, citrus and/or blueberry categories
- Strong experience/relationships working with domestic retail customers
- Successful experience in season long program bid pricing and FOB / market sales
- Thorough understanding of fresh produce supply base, production, and operations. Import experience helpful.
- Occasional travel to visit customers, periodic visits to trade shows and production areas
- College degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related fields of study desired, or relevant experience in the produce industry.
