Job Summary
Import & Export Specialist I at Abbott Costa Rica (Alajuela) manages shipments from the Costa Rica facility, coordinates end-to-end international shipping and local transport between Free Zone locations, updates negotiated freight rates, prepares export documentation (invoices, packing lists, certificates, customs declarations, AWB/BOL), liaises with customs agents and authorities for approvals, maintains export records for audits (Procomer, DGA, EY), and ensures compliance with Costa Rica Free Zone and regulatory requirements. Requires 0-2 years experience, Bachelor’s degree in international trade or Customs or related Technician degree, proficient computer skills, and intermediate English. Shift A: Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 3:36 pm, 100% on-site.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in international Trade or Customs or Technician degree in related areas with at least 75% of the university degree completed
- 0-2 years of working experience in similar roles
- Proficient computer, data analysis and report writing
- Intermediate command of English language
