Import/Export Manager - Logistics Flows/HTS/ECCN

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day Import/Export activities by liaising with operations, customers, and carriers to ensure compliance with Customs and government regulations. Develop policies and procedures for HTS and ECCN classification, conduct regular audits of inbound shipments, and correct entry documents as needed. Coordinate international truck load shipments, select freight forwarders, and prepare documentation for customs officers while maintaining accurate part number and COO databases. Resolve freight claims, address invoice discrepancies, and train site departments on carrier routing guides to optimize logistics flows and identify cost savings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years minimum import/export logistics /expediting industry experience
- Expert knowledge of logistics flows (both domestic and international)
- Working knowledge of HTS and ECCN
- Excellent communication/presentation (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven ability to successfully interface with both internal and external customers
- Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)
