Job Summary
The Import & Export Compliance Analyst (fix-term) supports global trade operations by ensuring compliant, efficient movement of materials across international borders, focusing on import/export documentation, regulatory compliance, and coordination with brokers, forwarders, and government agencies (e.g., BIS, CBP, DDTC). Responsibilities include ensuring activities adhere to trade laws, conducting sanctioned party list screening, maintaining complete documentation for audit readiness, and facilitating ship-approval and clearance instructions. Requires a bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required) and experience in logistics and trade compliance, with familiarity across EU/UKUS trade regulations and HTS/ECCN concepts; proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (Oracle preferred); Life Sciences industry experience and related certifications are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Trade, or related field preferred but not required
- Experience in logistics and Import/Export trade compliance
- Familiarity with EU and UK trade laws and regulations
- Familiarity with Customs regulations in the US and Asia
- Knowledge of international trade documentation, INCOTERMS, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), ECCN classifications, and valuation practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry and industry certifications (e.g., CECP, CCS) are a plus
