Job Summary
Execute purchasing activities by communicating with global manufacturers and suppliers regarding orders, inventory, and delivery timelines. Monitor pricing, terms, and KPIs while managing international supplier relationships to secure competitive costs, highest quality, and timely delivery. Support supply through product selection, development, and sourcing, ensuring adherence to category management guidelines and demand plans. Maintain vendor relationships to meet On Time and In Full service levels and manage inventory levels across multiple warehouses for maximum efficiency. Deliver on KPIs including buyer productivity, volume, value, turns, and overstock metrics. This strategic role within the Import Supply Chain management team focuses on replenishing warehouses and aligning the procurement process from demand through final disposition.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Day shift, M-F schedule
- In-office location at Anaheim, CA
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of purchasing experience
- International/Import buying experience
- Analytical skills with the ability to use Microsoft Excel to drive decisions and communicate key performance trends
- Understand the basics of negotiations and can pursue a predefined result
- Ability to respond to multiple needs and priorities through open, professional communication
- Familiarity with ERP systems and/or basic ordering principles
- Experience in one of the following: demand planning, purchasing, freight, or warehousing
- Experience with e-mail such as Outlook and other Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint)
