Job Summary
Implementations Network Engineer II supporting DISA DISN services; responsible for installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment, and activation of networks for DoD projects. Configure and maintain DISA’s out-of-band management network using Cisco and Juniper devices; upgrade software; create/update project planning documentation for IP addressing; verify POC data and locations; engage with DISA project managers to resolve requirements and approvals to ensure progress. Requires active Secret clearance, DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification, US citizenship, and a BS/ MS with corresponding experience. Strong knowledge of BGP/ISIS/OSPF, VLANs, VPN, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and network appliances; ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in a related field and 2-4 years of relevant experience or MS with less than 2 years of relevant experience
- Active Secret clearance
- DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- US citizenship
- Experience with network engineering, configuration, testing, and documentation for DoD DISA networks
