Job Summary
Provide pre-closing construction underwriting support and risk mitigation, including the review of monthly construction draw requests and consultant reports. Monitor construction budgets and risk factors, track monthly progress, and make funding recommendations for the USBIF portfolio of multifamily commercial loans and tax credit equity investments. Report on construction performance and risk mitigation to Asset Management, Senior Leadership, and Credit Administration through project completion. Requires basic analytical skills, knowledge of LIHTC/NMTC tax credit programs, and attention to detail. This role offers a hybrid schedule with an in-office expectation of three or more days per week.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and four or more years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree and two or more years of related experience
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Location Expectations: The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week
Desired Qualifications
- General disbursing, real estate, or construction background
- Relationship management abilities
- Well-developed written, communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of LIHTC, NMTC, HTC tax credit programs and/or construction lending
- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures
- Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
- Considerable knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
- High attention to detail with ability to interpret data and identify and resolve exceptions
