Job Summary
Immigration Intake Specialist will manage and facilitate referrals for MRNY's immigration team, conduct preliminary consultations to assess eligibility, troubleshoot inquiries, provide information about MRNY services and practice areas, maintain accurate client records and referrals, and schedule appointments. The role requires Spanish proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a union-represented environment. The home office locations may include Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, Staten Island, and Long Island with a hybrid work model (minimum three days in the designated home office). Prior experience in a legal or community-based setting is preferred; familiarity with Salesforce or similar systems is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience working in a legal or customer-facing setting
- Spanish language proficiency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Desire to work collaboratively
