Job Summary
Immigration Attorney in San Jose provides affirmative immigration representation (asylum, U visas, T visas, VAWA self-petitions, family-based petitions, naturalization) and supports removal-defense work with increasing independence, including preparing filings and appearing at hearings. The role requires trauma-informed, culturally responsive legal services, supervision or mentoring of junior staff, accurate case records, and active community outreach. Strong writing, verbal communication, public speaking, and bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are essential; travel for trainings and site visits may be required. Must be a member of the California Bar with a JD and at least 3 years of immigration-law experience, including nonprofit settings, and the ability to manage multiple projects and advocate for immigrant rights.
