Job Summary
Advise and assist corporate clients, high-net-worth individuals, and offshore energy companies on UK immigration matters, including sponsor licence applications, Certificates of Sponsorship, and Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility visa submissions. Independently manage client matters and applications while supervising and reviewing work from paralegals. Attend client meetings to discuss immigration options, liaise with the Home Office and stakeholders to progress cases, and draft legal documents and supporting evidence. Conduct legal research to keep up to date with changes in immigration law and guidance. Support business development by preparing client updates and presenting on UK immigration topics. Join the Immigration team at Stephenson Harwood on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave to develop your career alongside recognised experts.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working at a firm with a highly regarded immigration practice and a proven track record in handling relevant matters at the appropriate level
- Experience working with corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals
- Strong knowledge on UK immigration law and applications for corporate and private clients
- Strong drafting and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and succinctly to clients
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Commercial awareness and a practical, client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Proactive approach to legal research and professional development
- Commitment to delivering high standards of client service and supporting the team's business development efforts
