Immersive Simulation Technician - College of Nursing

Job Summary
Prepare and maintain immersive simulation equipment, media, computers, and materials to ensure all systems run properly and efficiently. Support learners and the Immersive Simulation Facilitator by assisting with props placement, moulage set-up, and creating virtual healthcare settings. Collaborate with the Director of Lab to maintain inventory and assist in developing scenarios for simulation experiences. Provide technical operational support for all related systems while training faculty in equipment usage. Occasional weekend and/or evening coverage as needed. Required Qualifications
- Must have granted diploma or certification relative to background experience
- Two or more years of patient care experience
- Two years related experience in clinical healthcare setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment
- Unencumbered FL LPN or RN Licensure
- Must be able to work occasional weekend and/or evening coverage as needed
- Must be able to provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

- Medical assistant diploma
- Paramedic experience
- Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant experience
- Emergency Medical Technician experience
- Respiratory Therapist experience
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) experience
- Simulation Technician experience
- any other licensed health care provider experience
- FL Certification
