Job Summary
The Immersive Simulation Facilitator supports Clinical Simulation Educational Activities within Grand Canyon University's nursing education program. Primary duties include coordinating with the Director of Nursing Services to schedule activities and manage equipment, overseeing training processes and learning outcomes, leading trial/validation of scenarios used in the curriculum, orienting and directing Simulation Technician, actors, volunteers and faculty for each scenario, coordinating video annotation and data capture for outcome reporting, ensuring safety and proper use of simulation equipment, and providing operational support for AV and HPS systems. The role requires guiding faculty and learners through capabilities and limitations of simulation technologies, processing activity reports, and occasionally working evenings/weekends. A Master’s degree in nursing education or a closely related accredited program is required, along with an active FL RN license and relevant healthcare education or simulation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MSN) from CCNE/NLNAC or ACEN accredited program
- Active, current, and unencumbered Florida RN license
- Two years related experience in healthcare, clinical healthcare education, or healthcare simulation education
- Proven ability to support university mission and doctrinal statements
