Job Summary
Assess individual patient goals and needs to customize treatment plans, managing a caseload of one patient per hour. Apply manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to maximize functional recovery, while educating patients on cost-effective treatments and non-surgical alternatives. Develop personalized fitness programs, monitor treatment efficacy, and document progress using EMR software. Collaborate with physicians and PTAs to provide comprehensive care for orthopedic patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia
- No reported disciplinary actions
- Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques
- Experience in designing and implementing effective exercise routines to facilitate recovery
- Proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient management
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Additional certifications in specialized treatment techniques or modalities (e.g., sports therapy, dry needling)
- Strong interpersonal skills
