Job Summary
Assess patient goals and needs to customize treatment plans, managing a caseload of one patient per hour. Apply manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to maximize functional recovery, while educating patients on cost-effective treatments and non-surgical alternatives. Develop individualized fitness programs aligned with specific health requirements and collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive care. Monitor treatment efficacy, document progress in EMR software, and maintain accurate records. This onsite role supports patients recovering from orthopedic issues, post-surgery, or chronic pain within our collaborative outpatient practice.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia with no reported disciplinary actions
- Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques
- Experience in designing and implementing effective exercise routines to facilitate recovery
- Proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient management
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Additional certifications in specialized treatment techniques or modalities (e.g., sports therapy, dry needling)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient education and communication
