Job Summary
Provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Monitor and wean oxygen therapy, draw and analyze arterial blood gases, and deliver intermittent therapy as ordered by a physician. Assist with changing artificial airways, review and document clinical information, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards. Maintain proficiency with Windows-style applications for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
Required Qualifications
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (only for trained therapists working in the NICU)
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard
