Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care including bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers while accompanying them to grocery stores, doctor appointments, and pharmacy visits. Document observed changes to mobility work and active/passive activities per the plan of care for the Director of Nursing. Perform active and passive mobility assistance and maintain client confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA. This role requires a licensed driver with a reliable, insured vehicle and one year of formal caregiving experience. Applicants must live in the Louisville area, hold a high school diploma or GED, and possess valid CPR certification. Full-time 12-hour day shifts (7AM-7PM) are primary, with some overnight options available.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of formal caregiving experience in Home Care and/or Facility
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified CPR
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Licensed driver
- Insured and reliable automobile
- Proof of insurance
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Live in Louisville area or surrounding counties
