Job Summary
Casual Immediate Care Technician at Northwestern Medicine's Gurnee Immediate Care Center. Supports physicians and APPs by facilitating patient flow, assisting with examinations and procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, wound care, procedure trays), performing related administrative tasks, and maintaining clean, safe exam rooms. Requires CMA or EMT certification; 12-hour shifts (7:45am-8:15pm); minimum three shifts in a 6-week period with weekend and holiday coverage; may float to other clinics; in-person role based in Gurnee, IL. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Certification required within six months: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), CCMA (NHA), NRCMA (NAHP) or EMT–Paramedic/EMT–Basic or Illinois EMT License; Basic Life Support (AHA) certification; completion of pre-employment competency exam; strong computer skills
