Job Summary
IML Production Manager responsible for leading day-to-day operations of the injection molding/IML department, including molding machines, automation, tooling, and product/case handling systems. Oversees equipment setup, changeovers, processing, and maintenance to meet production efficiency goals; manages safety, quality, productivity, and key operational metrics; partners with Supply Chain on raw materials; ensures quality and food packaging safety compliance; mentors and develops department staff; manages departmental budgets and capital requests; collaborates with Engineering and other teams during commercialization and process changes; applies SQF and ISO frameworks; role is 100% onsite in Sauk Village, IL and may involve up to 5% travel international/domestic.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Injection molding experience in a production setting
- Experience leading teams, directing work, and driving accountability in a fast-paced operation
- Experience with manufacturing equipment setup, processing, and maintenance
- Experience working with automation in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5%
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred; listed in qualifications)
- Previous manufacturing management experience in plastic molding, packaging, or related production environment (preferred)
