Job Summary
Conduct daily operational support for Fixed Income Portfolio Managers by maintaining the Investment Book of Records, performing start and end-of-day checks, and monitoring trading activity and liquidity. Respond quickly to investment process queries while engaging wider teams to collate actions and minimize failed trades. Provide value-adding insights on portfolio movements, duration, and general trading activity to the Desk. Support the management of Investment and Index Data to ensure accurate representation and discuss market events impacting the investing process. Identify and drive solutions for process improvements, including automations and technological suggestions, while collaborating with Risk Teams to enhance controls.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years related work experience within Fixed Income Fund Operations or Investment Team-facing role
- Undergraduate degree
- This position requires you to be in our office 5 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Accounting, Finance degree or CFA preferred
- Experience in Aladdin and fixed income investments preferred
- firm knowledge of fixed income markets, derivatives, trading strategies
- experience with Aladdin
- Practical experience in an Operations environment including detecting and responding to operational incidents

- Front-to-Back understanding of the investing lifecycle
- Monitor and understand portfolio movements to provide value-adding insights to the Desk, especially liquidity (investable cash), duration and general trading activity
- Monitor market/world events and consider how these may impact the Investing process and therefore the EIS working day
- Work with Investment Risk and Operational Risk Teams to improve controls and control environment
- Identify, recommend and drive solutions and process improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes eg: automations, new coding, technological suggestions and collaborations
- Familiarise with the Vanguard Management System as an approach to continuous improvement (managing time, communicating effectively, root cause analysis of incidents, continuous learning)
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
