Job Summary
Imaging Technologist - Nuclear Medicine: Performs imaging procedures using gamma camera systems, injects radioisotopes, schedules patients, surveys radioactive shipments, conducts quality control, prepares rooms and supplies, administers radionuclides (oral/IV), transports patients, and performs nuclear procedures. Requires on-call availability within 45 minutes and compliance with Illinois Nuclear Safety guidelines. Licensure/Registration in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT CNMT) and Illinois license required; BLS certification; associate's or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology with 6–12 months related experience. Must work across age groups from neonates to older adults and support department mission. May involve per diem/as-needed scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology (radiologic/nuclear medicine program)
- Specialized courses or training in Nuclear Medicine
- On-call responsibilities for nuclear medicine procedures
- Respond within 45 minutes
- Registration: ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT required
- Licensure: Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license in Nuclear Medicine required
- BLS certification
- Six to twelve months related experience
- Prefer ARRT in Radiography as well as Nuclear Medicine
