IMAGING TECH STUDENT

Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality X-ray images under direct supervision of an ARRT-registered technologist while applying ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure. Collaborate with clinical history to ensure accurate documentation and adhere to HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality. Perform routine diagnostic imaging procedures, transport patients, and maintain aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout all interactions. Manage patient safety by implementing double IDs, fall prevention, and proper hygiene protocols. Maintain proficiency with radiology information systems, PACS, and clerical duties while assisting with equipment care and supply levels. Complete required education assignments annually and stay current with Basic Life Support training.
