Job Summary
Coordinate scheduling and patient preparation for in-department imaging procedures; act as liaison between relevant offices, departments, external resources, and individuals to ensure appropriate preparation for imaging procedures. Manage documentation and transfer of information related to scheduling, uses radiology information systems, and supports the delivery of radiology images and results with a focus on customer service and maximum productivity. Maintain understanding of workflows for radiology images across internal and external stakeholders, handle confidential information, and prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates Degree in related field preferred
- 2 years medical-related office
- Prior experience with direct clinical patient care such as LNA, MA, EMT or related field
- Experience working in a high-volume environment with competing priorities
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of advanced computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly discreet, able to routinely handle confidential materials
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments
- Demonstrated experience in successfully supporting peer staff members in improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated problem solving-skills and critical thinking
- Strong customer service skills
