Job Summary
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs on diagnostic imaging systems with technical support assistance. Install and de-install products and peripheral equipment while maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up. Complete administrative duties including electronic expense reports, work orders, and QA/RA functions while adhering to FDA and ISO 13485 regulatory requirements. Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, and spare parts, and return parts within required time frames. Work independently on preventative tasks but require assistance for unscheduled maintenance, and be prepared for odd hours, overtime, and up to 100% travel including overnight and air trips.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in electrical engineering, electronics or computer science discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year of previous field service experience
- Knowledge of assigned equipment to provide timely repair and effective maintenance
- Active listening skills and above average customer service skills
- Sound organization and administrative skills
- Self-starter
- Ability to maintain paperwork to FDA and company required standards
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner
- Capability to operate test equipment related to job (oscilloscope, meter, and diagnostic testers, etc.)
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Must be prepared to work odd hours and overtime hours on occasion
- Must be prepared to travel as required
- Compliance with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements
- Compliance with applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements
- Compliance with all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards
- Pass all requirements for vendor credentialing as part of gaining access to hospitals and facilities to perform assigned job duties
- Must possess good interpersonal skills
- Must be reliable and able to work independently
- Must project a professional image
- Up to 100% travel based on business needs
- Must be willing to test for the COVID-19 virus periodically
- Must be willing to wear a face covering indoors as required
- Must be willing to comply with COVID-19 vaccine mandates issued by federal, state, or local government
- Ability to physically work in high magnetic fields of up to 3 Tesla
- Ability to push 1000 lbs. patient tables and 600-6000 lbs. MRI cabinets
- Ability to climb up to 3 steps of a 6-foot ladder
- Ability to balance while standing on a ladder
- Ability to reach above the shoulders when accessing components on top of a 6-foot-high MRI machine
- Ability to kneel, crawl, crouch, or crawl in the wiring process and access lower panels of an MRI machine
- Ability to bend in the low back
- Ability to sit frequently and prolonged/repetitively
- Ability to stand and walk frequently and prolonged/repetitively
- Ability to lift and carry light hand tools, a tool bag, cabinet covers weighing from 1-20 lbs., diagnostic test equipment which weighs from 5-60 lbs., fluid testing container weighing 30 lbs., and replacement components which may weigh from 1-40 lbs.

- Ability to work in usual medical, clinical working environments, including sites under construction
