Job Summary
Conduct precertification for imaging exams, obtain medical history, and compile protocols for Radiologist review. Verify order accuracy, communicate necessary changes to clinical teams, and screen patients for contractions. Provide education on patient prep instructions and triage incoming calls. Schedule appointments locally and coordinate external facilities, performing follow-up to ensure exam completion. Request outside records as needed and troubleshoot electronic systems. Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality and participate in team onboarding. Work 32 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior medical office experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Windows-based computer applications
- Ability to efficiently type and navigate systems while conversing with patients or family members
- Excellent professional judgement
- Attention to detail
- Phone skills
- Decision-making ability
- Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills
